Estate founded in 1962 by Primo Pacenti. Distinct from the 'Canalicchio' wines produced by Franco Pacenti.- A number of critics have rated this Brunello di Montalcino wine extremely highly: the 2010 vintage was given a score of 99 by The Wine Advocate and the 2004 vintage was given a score of 18/20 by Jancis Robinson.
- A couple of prizes have been won by this wine in competition: This wine has won the Vinibuoni d'Italia Golden Star award for the 2007 vintage and the 2004 vintage.
- This is one of the most popular wines from the region. Interest in this wine has been less conspicuous during the year.
