Podere Poggio Scalette is a Tuscan wine estate within Chianti, but better known for its Super Tuscan-style wines under the Alta Valle della Greve IGT title. Sangiovese is the dominant variety, although Merlot plays an important role in Scalette's wines as well. The estate was established in 1991 by Vittorio Fiore and Adriane Assjè, when they bought a disused farm.

The winery and vineyards are in the hilly commune of Ruffoli, near the town of Greve in Chianti within the Chianti Classico region. The property was expanded in 1996 with the purchase of neighboring land, and again in 2007, ultimately adding more cellar space, winemaking facilities and vineyards. The estate is now 40 hectares (100 acres), with 15ha (37 acres) under vine. Another 10ha (25 acres) of olive groves provides the production of Scalette's Il Corto olive oil.

Some of the vines are exceptionally old, specifically those in the Il Carbonaione vineyards where Sangiovese vines were planted at the end of World War I. Scalette also grows small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay and Trebbiano, mostly for blending purposes.
