Vina Cobos

Viña Cobos in an Argentinian estate and collaboration between Luis Barraud and Andrea Marchiori of Mendoza, and Californian winemaker Paul Hobbs.

The estate consists of two vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, one in San Carlos and another in Tupungato in the Uco Valley. The winery faces the Tupungato volcano and has a capacity of 1.3 million liters in concrete or stainless steel tanks and 400,000 liters in barrels.

The range is led by the Cobos Malbec and Cobos Volturno (a Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend), which are made from older vines in the Marchiori vineyard in Luján de Cujo. There are several other wines at different levels of quality, made from  Merlot and Chardonnay, as well as Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon.
