Moss Wood is a leading producer in the Margaret River region of Western Australia, particularly known for its wines from Bordeaux grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate was founded in 1969 and was bought by Keith and Clare Mugford in 1985.
The 12-hectare (30-acre) home vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Semillon, while the Ribbon Vale vineyard, also in Wilyabrup, produces grapes for a Cabernet Sauvignon – Merlot blend, varietal Merlot, and both dry and sweet Sauvignon Blanc – Semillon blends. Moss Wood's red wines are generally aged in 225-liter new French oak barriques.
