Domaine Bonneau du Martray is a family-owned wine producer particularly known for its Corton-Charlemagne wine, widely regarded as one of the greatest white wines made from Chardonnay in Burgundy. The domaine was founded by the Bonneau family following the French Revolution, and is unique in that it only makes wines from Grand Cru vineyards.
Bonneau du Martray's vines are located in a single parcel on the famous Corton hill, rather than split across one or more villages. This yields just two wines – a white and a red. The 9.5-hectare (23.5-acre) parcel of Chardonnay is the largest single holding in the Grand Cru. The other 1.5-ha (3.7-acre) plot is planted to Pinot Noir, which goes to make a Grand Cru Corton.
The wines have been domaine bottled since 1969.
