The winery was established in the 1970s and is located at Monte Porzio Catone in the wine region of Frascati, near Rome.
The company produces IGT varietal wines from grape varieties like Aglianico, Falanghina, Nero d'Avola, Pinot Grigio and Vermentino, and DOC regional wines including Copertino Rosso, Frascati Superiore, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Primitivo di Manduria and Salice Salentino. Femar Vini owns some 40 hectares (99 acres) of vineyard land and uses fruit provided by associated growers to be able to support the winery's large production of quality wines.
Femar Vini applies modern winemaking methods and uses advanced technology. The winery has a large, modern cellar that is is split into two working units: one with stainless steel tanks for maturation and storage and the other, an underground tufa cellar, reserved for more than 800 barriques and large conical casks of Slavonian oak.
