Belle Glos is a producer of Pinot Noir particularly known for its single-vineyard releases from various sites along the California coast. It is named after Lorna Belle Glos Wagner, co-founder of Caymus Vineyards and grandmother of owner-winemaker Joe Wagner.
The label makes three Pinot Noir wines regularly, sourced from different coastal-influenced locations. Dairyman comes from a former dairy farm on the southern alluvial plains of the Russian River Valley, while south of San Francisco, Clark & Telephone in the Santa Maria Valley is planted on its own roots to the rare Martini clone. Finally, Las Alturas (as the name suggests) is one of the highest vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County.
Belle Glos also makes a Pinot Noir wine intermittently from the Taylor Lane vineyard on the Sonoma coast, which is subject to strong winds and fog off the Pacific. The Oeil de Perdrix Pinot Noir Blanc (which is actually a rosé wine) completes the portfolio.
