Clos de l'Oretiore is a Bordeaux wine producer located on the northeast slope of Saint-Émilion. The estate has a history dating back to the 1800s and was originally part of Château Peyreau's vineyard land. The sites were purchased by the von Neipperg family in 1972. Second-generation family member Stephan von Niepperg now owns and manages the estate, as well as several other Bordeaux properties including Château Canon La Gaffelière, La Mondotte, Château Peyreau, Clos Marsalette, and Château d'Aiguilhe.
The château's 10.3-hectare (25-acre) vineyard is composed of sandy soils with clay subsoil. The site is Merlot dominant – around 90 percent is planted to Merlot, five percent to Cabernet Franc, and five to Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vinification is temperature controlled and berries are whole-cluster fermented in oak tanks. The wine goes through malolactic fermentation in oak barrels and is aged on its fine lees in 60 percent new French oak from 14 to 18 months. Production averages around 2000 cases per year.
