Domaine d'Eugenie

Domaine d'Eugénie is a wine producer in Burgundy's Vosne-Romanée known for its Pinot Noir. It was formed in 2006 from the esteemed vineyards of Domaine René Engel after the death of its proprietor Philippe Engel, which included premier and grand cru plots. Francois Pinault, owner of Château Latour, bought the vineyards but not the cuverie. D'Eugénie operated in an interim space at Domaine Lupé-Cholet for the 2006, 2007 and 2008 vintages, before establishing its own winery.

The domain farms 6.5 hectares (16 acres) in Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot and Flagey-Échezeaux. It produces six wines from five appellations: the grand crus Échezeaux, Grands Échezeaux and Clos de Vougeot, the premier cru Aux Brûlées and Vosne-Romanée Villages. In 2009, several parcels of vineyards began the conversion to biodynamic farming practices.

Domaine d'Eugénie left its temporary cuverie in 2009 and moved into the old site of Clos Frantin in Vosne-Romanée. D'Eugénie upgraded all the facilities and renamed the monopole vineyard to Clos d'Eugénie.
