Château Cissac is a wine estate in the heart of the Haut-Médoc adjoining the Saint-Estèphe and Pauillac appellations. The château was constructed over the remains of a Roman villa and dates back to the 18th Century. It makes a range of wines based largely on Cabernet Sauvignon, and its top wine, Château Cissac, is classified as Cru Bourgeois.

The vineyards at Château Cissac cover approximately 100 hectares (247 acres) and are predominantly planted with the traditional Médoc grape variety, Cabernet Sauvignon. This variety is perfectly suited to the terroir here, with a largely sandy gravel soil overlaying clay and limestone. The vines themselves are cultivated in a single tract of land nestled between nearby Cissac village and the surrounding woodlands.

While Cabernet Sauvignon forms the base of the wines, Merlot and Petit Verdot are used to bring roundness and depth to the blends. Three wines are made at Château Cissac: the flagship Château Cissac, Château de Breuil and Reflets de Château Cissac. Fermentation takes place in large wooden vats, and the wines are then aged in barrel, around 40 percent of which is new.
