Château Charmail is an estate in the Haut-Médoc located on the right bank of the Gironde river. The château's portfolio includes a grand vin made primarily from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as a second wine, Tours de Charmail.

The vineyard dates back to the 17th Century and now comprises 28 hectares (68 acres) of vines planted in a single parcel. It faces south and is planted to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and a small quantity of Petit Verdot. The soils are largely made up of gravel and clay and, along with the mild climate, are perfectly suited to grape growing.

The vineyard is hand-harvested, and the grapes are fed through a gravity flow system for processing. After cold maceration and fermentation, the wines are aged for 12 months in one-third new French oak barrels and bottled without fining or filtration. Approximately 10,000 cases of the Château Charmail grand vin is produced per year.
