Banrock Station is a large estate and wine producer in the Riverland region of South Australia, with a wide portfolio of styles and grape varieties in both bottle and box format. It is well known for its support of numerous ecological projects.
The station extends over 1900 hectares (4700 acres) of which 600 (1500) are under vine. It was purchased in 1995 by BRL Hardy in partnership with Landcare Australia to restore 1000 hectares (2500 acres) of internationally important wetlands. The brand is now part of Accolade Wines.
Wines under the Banrock Station label first appeared in 1996. Since then profits have been reinvested in numerous global environmental projects, including research programs on the Great Barrier Reef.
