Myriad Cellars is a wine producer based in California's Napa Valley. Founder Mike Smith released his first vintage under the Myriad Cellars label in 2005, and today the estate's portfolio is largely dedicated to single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon wines, with smaller offerings of single-vineyard Syrah and Sémillon wines.
The winery makes wines from a selection of Napa Valley vineyards. The most famous of these is the 10-hectare (25-acre) Beckstoffer Dr. Crane vineyard in St Helena, which was planted to vine in 1858 and sits atop deep alluvial soils. Seven rows of its Cabernet Sauvignon vines are harvested to produce Myriad Cellars' Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard 'Elysian' Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon wines.
Myriad Cellars makes wines in several other key vineyards. The Beckstoffer Georges III vineyard in Rutherford is home to 121 hectares (300 acres) of vines planted on loam and red volcanic clay soils, and provides grapes for the single-vineyard Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Further Cabernet Sauvignon plantings are found at the Three Twins vineyard in St Helena. Finally, the Las Madres vineyard in Carneros is planted to Syrah.
In addition to his Myriad Cellars estate wines, Mike Smith also produces wines under the 12C, Ancillary Cellars, Becklyn Cellars, Carter Cellars, Scarlett and Quivet Cellars labels.
