The coat of arms of Fejus

Frejus is a sub-appellation of the Cotes de Provence, the core appellation of the Provence wine region in the far south-east of France. Located on the eastern side of Provence, halfway between Toulon and Nice, the vineyards of Frejus are spread sparsely between the communes of La Motte, Le Muy, Puget-sur-Argens, Roquebrune-sur-Argens, Saint-Raphael and Frejus itself.

The production area of the Cotes de Provence Frejus title covers less than 620 acres (250ha) – a tiny proportion of the Cotes de Provence's 50,000 acres (20,250ha).

As is fitting for a sub-region of Provence, 75% of Frejus wine is rose, with the remaining 25% being entirely red. White wines produced in the area are sold under the general Cotes de Provence title. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre are the key Frejus grapes (used in both the red and rose wines). They are accompanied by Provence's star rose grape, Tibouren, and sometimes a dash of Cinsaut.
