The coat of arms of Naturno

Alto Adige Valle Venosta (Sudtirol Vinschgau in German) is the title used for red and white wines made under the Alto Adige DOC from vineyards in the Venosta valley.

The wines sold under this title are mostly white varietals, although two reds (a Schiava and a Pinot Nero) are also produced. The white wines are made from an 85% base of Chardonnay, Kerner, Muller-Thurgau, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Riesling and Traminer Aromatico (Gewurztraminer). This last variety is particularly apt, as the village of Tramin, widely seen as where the grape comes from, is situated just a few miles down the valley.

The catchment area for this title covers a number of villages in the Venosta valley, namely Castelbello-Ciardes, Laces, Naturno, Parcines and Silandro.
