Mississippi Delta is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) running along the southernmost stretches of the Mississippi River as it approaches the Gulf of Mexico. Contained mostly within the state of Mississippi and with its northernmost tip in Tennessee, the AVA also encompasses a small amount of land in north Louisiana.

The humid, subtropical climate in the Mississippi Delta makes viticulture very challenging, and what little wines are made here are made from the native Muscadine family of grapes, the thick skins of which are resistant to the worst of the fungal vine diseases usually associated with high humidity.
