Lake Erie is a multi-state American Viticultural Area (AVA) in the Great Lakes region of the northern United States. As might be inferred from the title, most of the AVA's vineyards are located along the shores of this most southerly of the Great Lakes, stretching through New York and Pennsylvania before reaching the vineyards of northern Ohio.

The lake serves to moderate temperatures in the AVA's wine sites, allowing for the production of Vitis vinifera varieties along with the Concord and Niagara grapes that have traditionally formed the basis of the  fruit industry here. The Alsatian trio of Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris do well in Lake Erie, as do the Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
