The coat of arms of Andlau

Clos Rebgarten is a walled vineyard situated amongst the houses of Andlau, in the northern half of Alsace. A monopole of Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss, it is planted exclusively with one of Alsace's less-prominent grape varieties, Muscat. In this particular case, Muscat Ottonel is used.

Marc Kreydenweiss labels his Clos Rebgarten wine with the clos name and sells them under the Alsace appellation. The clos is not covered by the Alsace Grand Cru title; the nearest Grand Cru site is Moenchberg, about a half a mile away to the east. Although not as famous as some of Alsace's other clos vineyards, this site stands out for being planted entirely with Muscat Ottonel and for its location in the center of Andlau town. Its name means 'The Garden of the Vines'.
